MEVLANAEXCHANGE PROGRAM

 
A program which aims for students and academic staff exchange between the Turkish higher education institutions and higher education institutions of other countries. This program covers the expenses of incoming academic staff to Turkey and the program gives all the students a scholarship whose amount changes according to the countries. All the financial aid which is given to both academic staff and the students is supported by Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK).
 
MEVLANA EXCHANGE PROGRAM STUDENT EXCHANGE
Within the framework of the Mevlana Exchange Program, students registered in formal education at higher education institutions can participate in student exchange. Exchange involves the student registered at higher education institution to continue part of his/her education in another higher education institution which is a party of Mevlana Exchange Program Protocol.
This scholarship not only benefit students from Turkey, but also UTHM students who wish to perform exchange programs at UTHM Mevlana partner institution in Turkey.
 
FINANCIAL BENEFITS
For Incoming students (UTHM students) to Turkey, the grant is 1300TL per month, for 4 months 1300x4 = 5200 TL.
80% of total scholarship will be paid monthly during mobility period. For the student's remaining scholarship payment, the ratio of total credits of the succeeded courses to the courses that the student is obliged to take as obligatory courses will be considered.

GENERAL REQUIREMENT
Minimum requirements to become Mevlana Exchange Program student are as follows:
  • The student shall be a student of associate degree, undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral student registered at formal higher education programs,
  • The general academic grade point average (CGPA) of associate degree or undergraduate students shall be at least two and a half over four (2.50/4.00).
  • The general academic grade point average of postgraduate and doctoral students shall be at least three over four (3.00/4.00).
During the evaluation, 50% of grade point average and 50% of language scores are considered and students are ranked using cumulative value of these two factors. Necessary Documents (For Students):
  • Candidate Student Application Form (Depending on host institution. Please refer on “How to Apply” section)
  • Transcript of Records (It must be in English and duly signed & sealed by the official authority – Faculty Dean or Academic Management Office, PPA)
  • Foreign Language Document (CPE, CAE, TOEFL iBT, PTE, IELTS and the language score which you take from your institution’s exams are accepted - MUET)
 
HOW TO APPLY
1. Karabuk University – FKMP, FKEE, FKAAB, FTK, FSKTM

2. Cukurova University – FKMP, FKEE, FSKTM
For document submission, student need to submit the application directly to Cukurova university Mevlana Coordinatorship. Kindly submit your application documents (application form, transcripts, english test) to Çukurova University Mevlana Coordinatorship by e-mail (mevlana@cu.edu.tr and cu.mevlana@gmail.com ) by 18th March 2020

3. Gebze Technical University – FKMP, FKEE, FSKTM, FAST (physics)
• Candidate Student Application Form (2 Copies)
• Student Application Form (2 Copies)
• Photo (on the application forms)
• Transcript (English)
• Foreign Language Certificate or an official English test score recognized by your government and/or university (2 Copies)
For document submission, student need to submit the application through UTHM Faculty Mobility Coordinator. Kindly submit your application documents (application form, transcripts, english test) to your Faculty Mobility Coordinator by 19th March 2020. Faculty mobility coordinator should submit all the documents to UTHM International Office by 21st March 2020. The deadline for the application is 24th March 2020.

4. Manisa Celal Bayar University – FSKTM, FPTP, FKMP, FKAAB, FKEE, FTK
For document submission, student need to submit the application through UTHM Faculty Mobility Coordinator. Kindly submit your application documents (application form, transcripts, english test) to your Faculty Mobility Coordinator by 15th March 2020. Faculty mobility coordinator should submit all the documents to UTHM International Office by 17th March 2020. The deadline for the application is 20th March 2020.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR UTHM STUDENTS
Applicants from UTHM are expected to take minimum 15-30 ECTS credits (around 5 subjects) at the host institution. Kindly discuss with the Faculty mobility coordinator for credit transfer subjects prior to your application. Please note that applicants might need to extend maximum 1 semester at the home institution (UTHM) if credits transfer are limited.
